Episode 9: Cut The Disc

Cut The DiscJared is out this week, and we decided to invite our new staff writer Becky Campbell onto the podcast to join the discussion. You’ll see her articles popping up on the site soon, but in the meantime she has a lot to say about Minecraft violence and a new game called Ori and the Blind Forest.

Nintendo just announced plans to bring their IPs to smartphones, so the team combs through the press conference to figure out what this news actually means. Later on we take a dive into a Gamestop dumpster, then talk to Becky about her initial impressions of Sid Meier’s Starships.

In addition to producing many different shorts and even spec pilots about videogames over the years, his favorite hobby is developing online games. After having some unexpected success with his indie MORPG NEStalgia, much of Ben’s free time is now spent running his very own gaming community.
